Mate has just put V6 commodore motor in his was a 2.4 petrol, goes like a fricken rocket and fitted the auto box behind it as
well. He said it was a fairly easy conversion and not much difference on fuel if any thing said it is a bit better than the old motor on a long run about the same when where off roading.Still has his power steer and air as
well. His computer is mounted up behind the glove box.Had problems getting insurance through his old insurance company so had to change over. I think going diesel will be a bit more complicated than another petrol, fuel lines, etc. He has had it in the drink quit deep and has had no problems as the coil pack is up nice and high so's the alternator. As mentioned give that link a try and see what they can do for you.The commodore motor conversion has been around for a long time. The old 4.2 v8 was another option but could cost you a bit in fuel. Another option is to rebuild the old motor save you a lot of problems with insurance etc. Which ever way you go good luck and hope your happy with the outcome. Regards Steve M
