Can anyone pass on info about the condition of this Rd which runs between Balladonia and Cape le Grand National Park in WA. Planning to drive it in January with a GQ patrol and off road CT.

We went on it January this year. Parts were fairly corrugated so we took it slowly - in some places people had made tracks alongside the road but that wasn't much better. The North section through the station was better. With a caravan, we just took it slowly at had no problems - a few 4wds (not towing) whizzed past us. Pleasant drive, and we stopped for the night in one of the many old (clay rather than gravel) pits alongside the road. So long as the weather is dry you should have no problems. Perhaps ask again just before you leave for recent conditions.

If you take this road you will miss the highlights of The south east coast such as Mt Ballbinya ruins (well not ruins they have been done up) Juranda rockhole Pine Hill Mt ragged - And you haven hit the coast yet where unless you backtrack you miss the excellent fishing at Poison Creek and the Brilliant Thomas river area which i reckon is better than cape le grand and a lot less crowded

Hi Cloughie

Just came back from a trip from Balladonia RH to Pt Culver via Bilbunya Dunes - Israelite Bay - Esperance. Tracks are OK pretty rough over the limestone cliffs. The Track between the dunes and Israelite Bay was OK as well except you mind getting your truck repainted... I think we were the first since a while driving thru the Banksias... avoid the Salt lakes and you should be OK
