Hi all
Had the opportunity in the last two weeks to get away,
Stockton, Mitagong to
Bathurst and then a run along the Briddle Track to
Hill End.
anyway
stockton beach what a pig stye bottles litter
the beach every 100 or so mtrs and the reminants of self centered campers who just leave it for someone else to clean up latter.
The dunes were fun nearly run over a few quad bikes in the process and got some footage of one paj who got bogged on the slop backed up and gave some revs and on the last slop got some serious air under him.
The weather was windy as so it took the edge off it a bit but I would love to go back a a nice calm day after they have their clean up.
It begs the question you can make all the laws you want but unless someone is there to enforce it, it is point less. do what i did nearly got in to a full on brawl telling some you middle eastern lads who intended desrting their rubbish for someone else to remove. (and yes I did remove it)
Yes it was worth the trip and i will be returning (Im
Adelaide Based)

Stockton is the best!
We go from Dubbo nearly every long weekend.
Please don't run over us quad riders. Were there just as legal as you.
About the trash, it's a shame some people are pigs.
Cheers

Did you run over the other ethnic group bagging pippies?
Some of the rubbish on the
Newcastle beaches, including
Stockton comes from the armada of coal ships anchored off the port.
Geoff.

Thanks Trev88,
Pretty obvious where that lot comes from,
Geoff.

We were up at Stockon for the cleanup day last Sunday.
While numbers were down due to the wind and rain and things, there were heps of people cruising round picking up rubbish. By 1pm, it was getting a bit hard to find rubbish, which was a good thing! The trouble is, it all gets buried, so as the dunes move, more rubbish is uncovered.
We got chatting to one of the rangers, and he rekons a lot of the rubbish is washed down the river, out to sea, then brought back to
the beach. The rest was mainly beer bottles, junk food wrappers, and fishing gear (where we were, anyway).
Anyway, it was good to give a bit back, after using a place like
Stockton for a number of years....
Cheers,
Chump
