Blue this weekend we went away to the Pyranees [Great trip, thanks Diamonds, Toonies, Glenn from 4wddrive advenutureoz and all the kids] and I had my 70Lt fridge full of a variety of beveridges, and a can of pepsi max exploded, but unlike you the whole top didn't come off,but a corner erupted, but that was enough there was a heap of mess, no other can - and there was a variety of cans in the fridge exploded, perhaps it's the artificial sweetner they use in that stuff.

cheers

Lyn

I don't care if it's bad for you, sugar rocks... Well compared to cleaning the fridge anyway...

Wow, I must the odd one out.

I always carry cans of Pepsi Max, and its always the beer cans that are rubbing through and leaking everywhere.

On the recent Simpson trip I was fine until I carelessly chucked in about 20 cans of VB, less than 200 km later I reckon there was four broken. I always try to stack and wedge the cans in so they can't rub together, and usually have no problems.

It makes a huge mess when they go off, fridges need a drain plug like the eskies.

Serves you right for drinking VB!

The solution to the problem is to take Coke for the kids, Cascade or Coopers Pale for me, they come in glass and don't rub through. A bladder of white for the boss which holds everything in place and we are all happy campers.

Homebrew in PET bottles for all travelling. Just did a 4600Kms round trip to Birdsville Races and never lost a beer (Only what I poured down my dusty throat each day)
