Hi,
I'm thinking about hiring a satellite phone for a 4 week trip in November... Has anyone hired one out of
Brisbane before or does anyone have one that they want to hire out? Thanks a lot, Dave.

Paul charged me $100.00 per week for long term hire over 5 weeks
Call were $3.00 /minute on Sat but cheaper on CDMA
for the 5weeks it cost me $600.00
I looked at buying second hand and 4X4
shop in Moss Street had second hand unit for $400.00 looked new
but connection fee was $200.00 and Globalstar wouldnt allow you to disconnect and then reconnect when you go on next trip
$35.00 per month charge on top of call charges
Talk to Paul ,he is pretty reasonable to get along with.Sorry I have lost his number.I am surprised he has'nt answered this Post

$40 + carton XXXX per month or part thereof + calls.
Best on your insurance but if not ... you lose it or break it you pay me $500.
