Has anyone had any experience with them? And what do you all think of the design of the one for the first gen pathfinders? Cost of it is $399. The real only reason i am considering them is due to the fact that they have the ram head on them. The Safairi verson has the inlet layed back over the roof line.

gday santa ho ho ho.
i have an airflow on the jack and no problems with it at all.
the other advantage of a ram head is turning it backwards when following people when theres heaps of dust.
cheers

Nothing wrong with the
snorkel. but double check the template before you cut a large hole in the forby as my template was wrong but picked up on it before a problem was caused

Hi Santa
I dont have one but have been to the factory and chatted to the man in charge. I have an airtec and i sat there for an hour as he explained to me about air vourtexs and how snorkels work. He is very knowledgable about air intake and snorkels. I got my airtec head swapped over for one of there and there has been improvement.

In what ways are they superior to say Safari?
Do they block the driver's view any more than the others available?
Thanks

In-regards to the design for the Terrano, I would believe that it would block the drivers view more than the safari would. (If you lokked at the picture then you can see how).

Have AIRFLOW
snorkel on our V6 Rodeo. No great probs. with installation. Just measure heaps- and mark our before cutting. I did make a stiffer bracket for the tube to pillar. Also, I wasn't really happy with the way the captive screws were "formed" in the
snorkel body- so I re-bonded them before installation.
Another thing. When you fit the head (with the hose clamp) also put a self tapping screw thru head/tube so the head doesn't vibrate off.

signman, did you get any noticable improvement in performance or econmy after you fitted it?
Have you a 3.5 or a 3.2 like me?
Also do you do any
water crossings and how deep have you taken it?
I'm curious as I'm a little concerned about my electrics etc.
Regard's,
Dave

Sudsy
The main reason we fitted the
snorkel was- after a dusty convoy trip in 2002 thru SA/ Simpson etc, the filter was full of dust & stuff. We fitted the
snorkel to get clean fresh air- not necessarily for performance improvement or for playing submarines. We have a 3.2 2000 model.
