Fatboy, This sounds like the 3 litre Isuzu that were fitted to land rover defenders, before the current t/diesels. Might be able to cross reference something from firm specializing in defenders/rovers. they reckon they were noisy, but pulled like a train. See ya..

Is that the motor that was in the Jackaroo? I think the isuzu engine in the Landrover was a 3.9 Isuzu. If that was the Jackaroo engine the try the yahoo group, Ozzuzu.

The 3.1 turbodiesel was used for quite a few years in Bighorns (Jackaroo), MUs (domestic Jap SWB Frontera) and Wizards (LWB Frontera). They are quite common in NZ and there is some info on the web.
