Hi,
Has anybody out there got any experience with fitting
snorkel to a '96 imported Hilux Surf with 3.0 Turbo Diesel 1KZ-TE ?
Which brand ? Where ? How much ? What was the result ?

G'day CC,
The number for Safari
snorkel is SS143HF. This will fit a late model Surf with the 1KZ-TE diesel engine. The particular model that this one is fitted to is a '98 Surf, however, it should fit your one as
well.

Thanks for your help. Got a couple of more questions :
1. My 1KZ-TE has the bonnet scoop with an intercooler, do you think if it will fit ?
2. How much did you pay for it "supplied and installed" ?
3. Does it give your Surf more power or make it more economical ?
By the way, do you know of any SRS airbag compatible bull bar that will fit a KZN185 Surf as
well ?

and I should be able to give all sort if info on your Surf. Just quickly I think they are around $500 or so fitted, will fit the intercooled ones, but you will probably not gain much if anything in the way of extra gee gee's.
As for the bullbar, depends on what you want, steel, alloy, winch or non-winch.......get my drift.
