Hi to interested partys. I have just purchased a 9th month 2005 cruiser as described above.Took a run from south coast to Tocumwal ,area around Barooga and Deniliquin most areas running on cruise control. Then returned via waggawagga and down the hume to home.Fuel used from home to there and surrounds 113 ltrs and covered 1113 klms. Can I have feed back from same car users as to fuel usage PLEASE.I had some weight abourd about 3cwt and driving alone never over 110kph.Ifilled up in tocumwal and will fill again in a couple of weeks to evaluate the return trip fuel usage.Thank you for your input IF any/

Around 10litres per 100km sounds pretty much on the money - about what we get when not towing.

Sounds about spot on to me. Uncle gets about 10/11 L per 100klms. Jumps to about 16/18 when towing his 22 foot van. He's rapted. Old 80 series 4.5 petrol used to use 18/20 round town about 26/28 when towing the same van huge difference plus more low down grunt with the diesel. Reckons it's the best thing since sliced bread. My hilux 2.8D uses 10 per 100.I'd be very happy to be getting what your getting in a vehicle that weighs double with a sh@t load more get up n go. Hope you enjoy it as much as my uncle does. Regards Steve M

Yes I believe the 4.2 TD are rated via Toyota at 11 Litres / 100KM combined city highway cycle so 10 litres for mostly highway would be right. Thats fantastic for a big heavy car .

Follow up.On return trip fuel used was 87litres for 829kilometers travelled, car now has 2,579 klms on clock so I would expect this fig to better when run in,will keep informed as to what occurs later
.Of cource this vehicle has a certain product fitted from new me knowing what it does. And I am more than pleased with the performance of the unit I agree with you great for such a weighty vehicle.Quite surprising in fact.

Bill, I also get between 10.2 and 10.98 ltrs/100 in my 04 LC100TD around town and on the open road, very economical for the size of vehicle. Stew
