Hi all,
Had an "altercation" in a car
park that resulted in my driver’s side, external mirror being broken - only the glass not the housing. Does any know if I am up for a replacement mirror, or can just the glass be replaced?
Thanks in advance,
Jezza

G'day Jezza,
According to Mr.
Gregory (p. 241, manual #512),
"The mirror glass is available as a separate part. The mirror glass can be removed from the mirror assembly by heating the glass with a hot air gun or a hair dryer to melt the adhesive. New adhesive, available from authorised dealers, must be used on assembly."
Hope this helps...
Regards,

Can't see whyt anyone who cuts glass caouldn't cut a new mirror to fit in.. O'Briens or someone like that could probably supply and fit.. Is the mirror glues in (or shold I say "was" or was it held in by an edging of some type??? If you really want to go the cheap option.. if you can source the glass yourself.. the local aquarium guy can probably cut it for you for about $10.. I recently got curved glass cut for my aquarium for $10 not sure how but it was a nice curve so they can probably also do the cureves in the mirror.. (novel idea hey. .who would have thought??)
