Following up from the other day concerning Barra. Took the new rod/reel for a test this arvo, close to Hedland, got 2, 1 baby one teenager, 98cm. If I had stood on him he would have been the magic metre. Oh well there's always tomorrow, and the next day and the next, got to love the Pilbara.
Enjoy the trip, don't forget Karijini (more stars than a free bleep up in Hollywood).

A real fisherman would have made it a metre fish - are you sick ?
I'm off to Arnhem land on Nov. 8 so I hope I will be catching the same sort of thing .
We were at Condon Inlet in July and caught a heap of blue salmon , but no barra .
Your lucky to be "stuck in Headland "- every thing might be covered in dust , but the surrounding country is pretty magic .
Good fishing ,
Willie .

Condon, the original planned site for HEDLAND, plenty of fish around there at the moment, hopefully some friday night. By the way, what dust?

Should I call you Stuck or Headland ?
After a while I guess you don't see the dust , but we weren't there long enough for that . We had a tour of the crushing and loading facilities - very interesting . Saw the BHP white elephant !
Cheers ,
Willie .
