While travelling around I met a bloke and the subject go onto showers. This bloke had one of those pump up garden sprays which he used. He would put in about two letres of warm water in it and wet himself down, soap up and then hose himself down. The very fine spray that came out was sufficient to damp him down enough to soap up and then wash the soap off. The wand of the spray was OK to reach all parts of his body. OK if water is in very short supply

Yep, works well. The 5 litre sprays are about the right size and only cost $10 at Bunnings. For my wife and I, we find that 1 litre of hot water plus 2 litres cold makes the temp about right, and its enough for 2 showers.

I must have tried just about every shower idea available by now.

This one I have used , mainly for beach excursions to wash the kids off before getting back into the vehicle.

Does work a treat.

Agreed. $20, works a treat. I source my hot water in summer from a solar shower, from the campfire in colder months. A 10L bucket will provide showers for about 3 people.
