Hi Guys,

Decided to pull my finger out and organise the power outlets in the back of the truck. I have decided to install 4 outlets and each go to inline blade fuse. I want to then connect the 4 wires from the blade fuses to the 8 awg wire. I know I can solder and heat shrink but there will be a lot of heat involved and I dont want to melt the insulation on the wires. What is the best way to connect the two??

If you want to solder, use a powerful soldering iron and resin cored solder.
The larger the iron, within reason, the quicker it heats the joint, melts the solder, and starts to cool before the insulation has a chance to get hot.

If you're against soldering, put round crimp connectors on the wire ends, and bolt them together with a 1/4inch stainless steel bolt. Encase it all in a plastic jiffy box from the electronics shop.

I personally like the solder and heatshrink option.
