Hi All have a sleep machine for sleep apnia , need to run this on 12 volt when using c van in national parks runs on a 105 amp bat with a max draw of approx 2.5 amps, solar panel installed on van is 20 watts with a max charge rate of 1.19 amps, sleep machine run for approx 6-7 hours per night , will solar charging be good enough for a week away from 240 volt power ( usually use generator when not in N.Parks. Any help will be greatly appreciated as van is new and system is yet to be tried

You have EXACTLY the same set up as myself.
With the Res Med Auto Spirit, I can get 5 nights @ 8 hours, then the battery is dead. The 20 watt panel would perhaps buy me another 2 nights.
Should be fine, as long as you are not using a humidifier & heated hose arrangement.

Thanks lone wolf , Have the res med s8 light weight , don,t know if it uses more power or less but don't use the humidifier, so the solar looks like it will do the job , vehicle will soon be hooked op to charge van battery as
well as aux battery with the rotronics system so hopefully will have no worries, thanks heaps for your help

Machine uses ~18 amps per day Max
Solar replaces ~10 amps per day Max
Battery looses ~8 amps daily average
Go for a short drive every 6 days and you should have no real problems.
