I was trying to explain how a differential works to my son who is doing engineering and I seem to have lost my bookmark to a very informative website on how things work mechanically. Used it many timesbefore to explain or understand how mechanical things work.
Hoping someone can help.

For a first hand look go to your local ARB store. My local store has a diff set up with an air locker in it. It has cut aways so you can see it in action with it locked or unlocked.
