UHF Radio/GPS

Has any heard of or currently own the new UHF Radio/GPS in one. If so what are your thoughts on these and are they a good buy.

Yep have seen them. They're a pretty basic GPS, the one I saw you couldn't load waypoints etc. was more of an electronic compass. One good feature was if someone else had the same unit and you called each other the GPS would guide you to their location.
I have a brochure somewhere so if I can dig it out I'll put some of the features here for you

Uniden have a couple of models ... Try this link

I have no idea how/if they work or how good they are.

Why bother?

I have a GPSII+ and a Uniden 090. Sorted...

I looked at them a while back. Biggest issue for me was they don't (didn' tthen ayway) have the ability to provide an output to a PC for mapping etc.

I asked this question on ExploreOz a few weeks back and I had a heap of responses saying ... no, don't bother...

I am now more enlightened having asked the question, and the responses gave me great insight into what ppl use and how they use it.

hi pete i have a gps 105 uniden and i think there a great unit they allow you to log in way points into youre system and the a neat unit . why buy two units ??
these may not be the ants pants of gps units but they work preety well .
