Diesel Drinker
Gday there,
Can anyone give me some information on how to disconnect the timing belt warning light in the dash (or reset) and any info regarding the timing belt for this model engine.
Thanks
PS are there any free workshop manuals on the net?.

Diesel Drinker.
Most toyota's have a rubber gromett in the dash facia, you need to take this out, and with a thin rod or a skewer depress the little button on the instrument panel. this will reset the light.
But make sure you replace the timing belt before it breaks $$$$$$$$$$.

Thanks for the info, but there is no grommet in the dash. Could it be somewhere else?.

Hi Diesel. Later models like yours with digital odometers have a procedure with the ignition switch and the trip reset button, someone with the correct info will have to help. Also all Toyota's have now gone to 150,000k T, belt change.
Regards Ken.
