Hi there, can anyone help? i have a 96 MJ TRION that is fitted with a 2.6l 4 cyl petrol engine. Of late it appears that the secondary side of the carby is not operating. I have change the vacuum leads around and it works however it works to
well and the 2nds are coming in a bit early. I found another vacuum lead that was not drawing as much vacuum that worked a bit bitter subsequently when you rob peter to pay paul something else happens. It hesitates when accelerating just off idle. Can anyone shed some light on this subject or got any contacts?

I'd say the last one you used was the vacuum advance for the distributor.
I always thought the vacuum chamber got its vacuum through the body of the carby although carbies are becoming a thing of the past as everything is EFI now.
I will go down and have a look under
the bench and see if I have a sigma one there or something similar.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, but it's not the advance....I looked a bit harder with a vacume gauge and found a split vacuum hose that feeds the air cleaner subsequently activates the 2nds. Thanks for your help..
