Looks like a neat job. Trust your left leg doesn't catch on it.
My mate with a 100 series had the same problem and eventually put his in a roof console.
Whatever works for you is what matters. Yours looks very professional and trust it suits you fine.

Hmmmmmm Might have to tie your legs together with an ocky strap lol
Does the radio fit into console space or did you have to cut through the gearbox tunnel?

all in one unit Alan , the unit is slotted into the concole , If I had a remore head unit , I would have pit the contol on the top side of the concole .

If you can move the
seat with no bother you have found a great spot.
I was more concerned about the mic lead rather than the face of the radio.
That spot looks just great - out of the way - short distance to electricals etc -
well done.

Eric, I used to have
mine mounted against the side wall about where yours is. Occasionally, I'd be talking to others and found I had no response. It turned out that I would change channels with my leg without realising it. It's now mounted in a pod on the dash.
Cheers
Des

Your right on there Des . I did a trial fit as you mentioned and I kept hiting it with my leg , this is why I cut the concole and fitted it inside
