I'm contemplating fitting a DPChip module to my 120 series Prado. Has anyone fitted one? and what were the results? Do they live up to the advertised literature? i.e increased power & torque. My main use of the vehicle is towing a caravan.

be sure to let us know if you do fit one. Id be espicially interested if someone has had both DPChip/Tunit and dtronic on a 120 Prado. I have a dtronic, just need to get around to fitting it.

Most Prados on the 120 list used Dtronics and are very happy with them.

I think you will find that the Tunit & DPchip are marketed as two different products, since Tunit is now distributed directly in Australia.
The DPchip is a very recent introduction.
At the end of the day they will all provide a repectable improvement in performance (both torque and power). Pricing should be withing a couple hundred dollars of each other.
I have a similar unit on my car, and appreciate the additional performance in day to day driving.

The module at the ENG-TEK site, in conjunction with improved exhaust system (including dump pipe).
Its been on the over two years. Been in the Simpson & central Oz, High Country, Little/
Big Desert,
Cape York,
SA Border Fence, etc and of course lots of tar in between.
Curtainly makes overtaking overtaking B double trucks 'much less exciting', but I do have a vested interest, and like to drive a little more spiritedly within the limits of the law.
