Can anyone tell me the size of the wheel bearing retaining nut on a GR Patrol. On a Land Cruier it is 54mm - it would be handy to know what I need (if I need a different size) before I take the hub apart.

Thanks, Jim

I'm fairly sure they are the same size of a LC.

A GQ patrol has a 52mm hex nut, but the GU has a ring nut with two 6mm holes for the spanner. Dunno about a GR.
In both cases, I made my own spanner.

OK... I should revisit my answer....
On "MY" GQ it had 55mm hex nuts on the rear axel / wheel bearings...
As i still have the spanner i used hanging on the workshop wall straight after i used it and havent since...
For some reason i thought he asked GQ... Sorry.. Read it wrong...

This 52mm was on the front wheel bearings (I'm pretty sure it was 52mm). No longer have the GQ/Mav, I loaned out the spanner, and never got it back. Didn't really need it and I guess that's what the borrower thought as well.
