Having just bought a new Hilux 4x4 diesel, I am advised that after fitting a long range fuel
tank,
water tank & storage drawers with recovery gear etc, I will require a rear
suspension upgrade. Has anyone had experiense with the 'coil in spring' systems by Outback
Suspension in Clayton VIC? At $700 fitted it appears reasonable value.

Yes the coil upgrade works but it is far better just to fit a leaf spring that is designed to carry the weight. You will end up with a much better ride is you replace the back springs with a good aftermarket spring.
