Hi All,

I tested the trailer plug today and the multimeter show 0.16 volts on the brake pin from the electric brake ontroller. This is with the ignition off and not touching the brake pedal. All other pins had no current at all.

Is this normal for the Hayman Reece controller or is it faulty? It does work the brakes when the foot pedal is applied. Would 0.16 volts on the brake pin cause the brakes to drag at all or can I just ignore it?

TIA
Tony

goodday tony
i have a hr controller and i dont think that amount of voltage would make anything operate did you try with brake pedal pushed i had to test mine a couple of weeks ago and it came up with 7.5 volts at my normal braking adjustment and that operates the van brakes just before the nissan brakes start pulling on

That pin is permanently powered and that is perfectly fine.

Don't worry about it.

BTW if you slide the slider over the voltage should progressively increase to full voltage - about 12-13 volts)
