Yeah, I have one - basically a clone of the Bushranger Max-Air. I understand that the piston is of lower quality, but I've used
mine a few times and it's worked just fine for keeping tyres at the right pressure - haven't had to pump up four tyres from <20psi though if you're doing sand work.
Looking at cutting off the crappy alligator clips it came with and putting probably an Anderson plug on though. The gauge on it is so inaccurate it is not funny - reads about 20psi too high.
I did a search on "Completed Listings" - they've been selling for as cheap as $51.10, which is an absolute bargain, with lots selling in the $70-$90 range. Looks like the market has been flooded and the prices have come down - I paid around $100 plus shipping when people had been bidding over $140, and I still think I got a good deal. A Max-Air costs $389. Heck, if they get much cheaper I'll buy a second and leave it in the shed as a spare.

Try this item for a look at the compressors. SC897 is only listed in the description.

If you want a compressor off Ebay at the moment buy this one.

At least you know what you're getting (and no it's not
mine. I found it when looking for the one you asked about :o))

Brought one last year and seems to work fine tho was a bit sceptical at the time about longevity and really still don't know the answer to that.
When it came to a competition between my son's ARB job and my hybrid job at the end of
the beach I beat him hands down.
Was interesting to read a 4wd mag report about compressors in general just recently and the journo's advice was to take a second one along as a back up - couldn't believe this stupidity really as I thought the only real back up was a quality hand/foot pump.

Mate, if they're as cheap as listed above, I'd consider 3 or 4 before even thinking about a hand/foot jobbie :) Too much like damn hard work !

G'day Austravel,
We bought one of them beginning of this year, has done my tyres from around 20-25psi back up to 35-45psi, at least 2 dozen times if not more, no problems yet and still as fast as the day I bought it.
I timed it when I first got it, from 20psi to 36psi took 1min 40sec, and the gauge is accurate once you turn the pump off, then read the gauge.
The way I figured it is that even if I only get 2yrs out of it, then I can buy nearly 4 for the same as one bushranger is gonna cost me, that's eight yrs worth. Though IMO it's going to last a lot longer than 2yrs, but we shall see.
Avagoodn
