HI I own a 1993 Toyota 4 runner ,v6 , petrol and wish to add a 2nd battery under the bonnet ,I have a snokel fitted so the left side is full can anyone please help with other alternatives..Thanks Pedro

Nice choice of vehicle :) I have the same model (without
snorkel), and enquired about a dual battery set-up at the local TJM outlet. My jaw (almost) hit the floor when he quoted nearly $1,000 for a set-up. Said the only thing that would fit was one of those 'half size' battery units, where two batteries fit in the standard battery housing. Showed me pics and everything, but there is no way I was paying that price for something I'd only utilise occasionally.

Tony , I have purchased a solinoid that will charge both batterys when the motor is running and isolate the second one when the engine is off this only cost me $55.00 from M.A.L automotive in
York W.A he has one fitted in his 4x4 and swears by it their phone number is 0896412000 ( ask for Mark ) I think he got it from AUTO PRO in
Northam W.A . Hope that may help you . Ihave just upgraded my shockies and have fitted RANCHO 5000 all around WHAT A DIFFERANCE,
