The TII is sort of "jerking" between 1300-2000rpm.(Like a petrol car that "misses" a bit.)
Is this a familiar situation to any TII owners. (or maybe 2.8 Patrol owners as the ECU is similar)?
Any suggestions??
Cheers
Oskar

I have a T2 but no idea what may be causing the problem. Might be a bit of air getting in through the fuel filter but I doubt it.
Have you checked for any computer fault codes?

if you can send me your e-mail I can send you the details on how to check the computer codes with the aid of a small bit of wire, save you going to the dealer. Swing over to Overlander forum and send me a PM if you don't want your E-mail posted here.

Sorry Oskar, I've never had the problem. Maybe you need the dealer to interpret the computer codes.
I suppose you have checked the obvious things like filters, did the problem start gradually, or all of a sudden after getting diesel?

I've cleaned the AFS with carby cleaner a while ago and it doesn't make any difference. That's what I originally thought it might be but ... nah!!

We don't have the problem with our TerranoII that we keep in NZ - well did not have it last time we drove it in March but our 78 series non-turbo Troopy has a similar un-resloved problem between 1200 and 1500 rpm. No-one seems to be able to find the problem.

Annoying.

Try the simple stuff first: air and fuel filters including the coarse ones in the fuel pump if fitted, air leaks etc. I found that a similar feel if there is no obvious engine noise could be a rear tyre out of round/balance so rotate them and try it again.
