yeah they must be pushing the coleman hard at the moment, a mate dragged me along to the bell st rays couple of weeks back to help him look at tents, we stumbled onto their 30% off tents etc sale BONUS!!!! . found they had a real nice huge coleman 2 room tent, great quality too , grabbed some other gear to go with it and put the squeeze on em, gave us 40% off the tent no probs. $300 for a wicked huge tent, my mate is wrapped.

I am a little suss at Rays "Sales"
I was looking for wet weather gear, visited and noted the prices, couple of weeks later Rays had a "Sale" I went in to pick up the clothing but noticed the normal price of the article had increase, the sale price brought it back to the same price I viewed some weeks earlier.
Maybe their was a genuine price rise ? all seemed a bit suss to me.
If you want to buy something check your prices in advance

>>> the sale price brought it back to the same price I viewed some weeks earlier.
Pretty much common these days..
Thats why I think they are shoofty, all of em with their sales - shows you how much profit they do make for 99.9% of the year!
Sorta like 4wd show specials!

Thats illegal in NSW, and I would assume in the rest of Australia
If you have proof, you should contact the relevant government body.

"Shoofty" what a great word - one of my old man's favourites. Now there's a word they don't teach at the Terang College of Everything and Anything.

The item/s may have been on special a few weeks earlier too! They are certainly entitled to return goods to normal retail price prior to a 'percentage off' sale.
To be quite honest, I have always found Ray's to be good to deal with, there are
places with some things cheaper, but it costs a lot of interest to carry the huge stocks that Ray's do. Like Truckster, I always check out their reduced, damaged & discontinued section, some real bargains to be had at times!! :o)

I've had some genuine bargains at Rays during their sales - just found out that they have a trade card available to business owners that's a better deal than the standing 6.5% discount you get with the VIP card.
Certainly got some good prices at the 4WD show from them - 25L
water containers for $9 vs $19 in the store.

Hi Truckster. I believe the Aussie's Sale was 30% off. If you're a regular Aussie's shopper, head into the Frankston store and speak to Jason.

That's great. I know they are always happy to go the extra mile and have built up quite a good reputation with their regular campers and 4WDers. If they don't have it in store they put themselves out to find it for you.
