way cushier, faster, handle better and all that, i am not quite sure they have the same ground clearance as the older one tho, maybe deceptive to the eye.

I may be wrong but I thought they were 3.0 litre TD. Pete

Pete Nissan have tossed the 3.0ltr ZD30 in favour of the new high tech 2.5 as fitted to the Pathy - awsome figures for such a small engine.

My local Nissan dealer was telling me that they are bringing this out in the up spec model only for the next 12 months or so. They will be selling it alongside the current model as
well because this model is selling so
well. Matt

Seen one at the latest 4x4 show, surprised it looked lower at the front than the new Hilux. Strange because the specs I read made me believe it was MUCH higher
The 2.5 TD has good specs, sounds like a nice donk (if it dont pop pistons)
Ducking now :-)

here we go again.
first nissan went from 4.2 to 3 ltr same power(
well close) and the storys start coming out about how long do you expext a smaller engine with the same power to last.
then the problems started with the zd30.
now there trying to get the same power from an even smaller engine.
cheers

In Germany, Toyota have a RAV-4 with a 2.2ltr TD that pumps out 120kw & 400nm

Hey Diamond,
I.m with you,I love all these KW and NM specs they throw around, they neglect to tell everone the little T/D deisels only have their high specs over a very small rev range, it's like riding a 125cc 2-stroke Moto cross bike. Lets see how the huge NM torque and KW's works at 1200rpm getting out rough
creek bed or worse up a short run up sand
hill.
Ask all the people who work and live out in the bush, nothing beats cubic inches.

Yup, been my arguement for ages...
You can't get more neddies out of a small donk without putting chit loads of stress on it.
People are dumb, they look on paper and see WOW kw and WHOLEYCHIT Nm, but dont really look any further! Oh and I saved a few bux.
