How does one crop a saved track (.plt) i.e. assume the saved track goes from A to D but I only want to save B to C.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Phil,

The way I do it is to have the Track Control open, load the track then click on the button with the description "Use mouse to draw a box around track points. All track points will become active". Then click on the button with the description "More options for active track points". Select "Delete Active Track Points" and woohoo, they are gone.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Glenn

Hello - Method suggested by Glen works fine...but just so I get to make another post here's another way you may find useful and in some cases more precise (if youre fiddling with only one or two track pionts close together)...

Open TRACK CONTROL BOX (9th icon across the top from left)
Open TRACK LIST for track in question (4th icon across the bottom from left in Track control Box))
Highlight track point in list to delete by clicking on it (to highlight more than one use mouse click plus shift or control key)
With point highlighted press DELETE (bottom left of Track control box or on key board)

You can see which point is to be deleted on the map so you can check it is the right one.

Cheers
Greg
I sent one final shout after him to stick to the track, to which he replied “All right,” That was the last ever seen of Gibson - E Giles 23 April 1874

And for option 3.........................

Open Track Control
Press 'show track list' - This shows you all the points that make up your track

You can then select the exact point you want your track to begin. When you have this point click on the 'split or join track into sections' button on the track list window.
Then do the same for the end point. Can't remember if you select the point you want or the one before it for the start and after it at the end but you get the idea.

You can do this a few times if you want to seperate the track into a few tracks.

Then click the 'split track 1 into seperate tracks' button.

There you have it. Yet another way to do it.

Thanks from me as well. I have often thought that it would be handy to be able to do this, but had no idea how.
