Shaun
We're off to
Stockton beach mid february and would really appreciate some tips on rigs and bait for Salmon, Jewfish and all the others. Also, is there much caught through the night?
Shaun.

Hi Shaun
You wont have many problems catching the fish if there biting most people fishing
the beach use pilchards on ganged hooks or you could use pipis which are easily obtained from the sand but remember the limit of 50 per person or if you are talented enough to catch the sand worms at low tide they are also good bait.
You will be able to catch Salmon if on, bream, jew fish, whiting, and Tailor, aswell as flathead just depends what sort of fisho you are ;)))

Shaun I gather you are fishing with wazza .Feb should be atop time on Stocko as Kimbo suggested with afair share of good Whiting being caught.hope you can catch beach worms as they are top bait for any types of fish.If you are talking to Wazza suggest he meet you at the Biribu tavern which at the top of
the beach where the easiest access to
the beach is because he will have trouble finding you at night

Wazza not coops here
But i will answer this question BLOODY hard to catch unless you have had lots of practise. But if you use old rotton bait on end of string and wipe across the waters edge at low tide this wil bring them to the surface then use a pippy to hold em there till you grab em which isnt easy

The best way to catch fresh beach worm is to go to a place called Tackle Power bait
shop at Sandgate which saves a lot of backache
