I think you will find this is the national code efective from january this year.

The interesting thing is page 17, where a 50mm increase in rolling diameter is allowed for 4wds and commercial vehicles (as
mine is both, I wonder whether they would allow 100mm :-)))
So all the worrywarts bothered by the "15mm rule" can soon be worried by the "50mm rule"

The only rolling diameter I worry about is the sideways one :)

15mm in dia will be about 50mm in rolling dia. (pye = 3&1/7th)

dont forget this is only a draft at the moment.
it is still illegal to increase more than 15mm even on a 4wd.
they are having a meeting on this draft around the 19th december but that dosnt mean it will be passed.

You are right. But the other said rolling dia not overall dia and for it to be rolling dia I would say it Pi still stands. I proberly am wrong, but nothing new at times.

Bruce, I couldn't see the graphics there for defining what the "rolling diameter" is of the tyre. Is it affected by the tyre pressures at the time of driving? It certaily affects the height of the vehicle and the amount of tread shuffle that must ocurr and the heat generated and all I can find indicates the rolling diameter changes with the pressures.
More for any person to prove who may like to prosecute you for O/S tyres. ;-)
