Hi, heading to fraser isl. next year towing a jayco swan off road. My mate wants to hire a camper trailer up there, any info on where to hire one would be appreciated.... Geoff

Check out oz roamer. Based in noosa. Really helpful guy. Rents
cape york trailers with fridge and all.

In Hervey Bay on
Boat Harbour Drive (main road) there is a hire company. FWD and Camper Trailers - 'Bay 4wd Centre Phone 0741282981'.
One od there c/t is always on display out front and they don't look too bad.
Don't know the hire costs though.

Bay 4wd is the only company I would hire from. They always have good vehicles,
well maintained and reliable. Never had any problems when I've used them. I'd imagine that they'd be the same with Camper Trailers if they hire them also. Keep in mind though, that if anything goes wrong, at least they will be able to get over to the Island to help you out fairly quickly. If you hire from somewhere else, it might take a lot longer, if at all.
Enjoy the Island, its a magic spot.
