G'Day all, in February I intend travelling from Dargo to Omeo along the Birregun road and then Omeo to Corryong via Benambra Corryong road towing a light camper trailer. They are listed on the maps as unsealed minor roads. My question is, does anyone know if they are suitable for trailers.

Regards
Andrew

Jeepster,
Omeo to Corryong via Benanmbra won't be a problem towing a trailer with care. Just watch out for logging trucks. Listen out on UHF 40, most provide a running commentary of where they are by reference to the kilometre markers on the roadside.
No experience with the other segment unfortunately.

If you can get a 30 wheel BDoulble logging truck up that route the camper trailer should be no worries ;-) The Birregun road has a bit of a climb out from Dargo but both are all weather roads, not particually rough & should pose no problems unless you don't like dust.
Cheers Craig...........

Have a look at tread 27752. We were up there a couple of weekends ago and whilst we didn't have a trailer, I would have no hesitation in pulling one through the Burrigun Track. I doubt if you would need to get into high 4WD. Should take approx. 3 hours to go from Dargo to Omeo. Some of the best High Country in Victoria.
Good luck and enjoy yourselfs.
