Hi.. I have installed a glind system in my LC 100 series V8 and have trouble trying to get the water temp up... I have checked the directional flow and this is all right.. the converter is mounted just in front of my radiator.. we currently have to recirculate the water in a bucket for a few minutes before having a shower... anyone have any suggestion or experienced similar

Try using your heater control to hot

Have you spoken to Glind directly? If not - I suggest you do.

There are so many variations on how people install their showers - how long hoses are, the type of connectors they use (click-type hose connectors are a major problem), etc, etc. I seem to remember a thread on here a couple of weeks ago that mentioned anothe LC100 owner who was having problems. There was something silly about the design of the heater system that required T-pieces and extra hoses to be installed between various points of the installation.

I have a Twine, and yes, I recirculate the water through once or twice to get the temperature up. It onbly takes a minute or two. I also restrict the flow through the hose with a tap I have fitted just near the shower head, which heats it up pretty quickly. Obviously the heater contol inside the vehicle is set to "high".

Couple of things.

As Chrispy mentioned , I understand the Yota heating system is different to most of the others and cant just run inline like most setups , it has to in parallel (Teed off).

Also the hoses to the HE should be as short as possible. Mine on the patrol is attached to the firewall , hoses are only 6 inches or so long.

I have heard of quite a few problems with Bullbar mounted systems.

As said above........... talk to Glind. I had a small problem and Tim at Glind (Bribie Is Qld) gave excellent after sales service. Cannot praise him enough. Great system too.

Petrol engine should be ok, runs much hotter than diesel engine. You should be able to shower with one pass, no recycling in bucket.
Few points, water flow through the shower head could be too high, 4 lpm would be max.
incoming water temp has a bearing on output temp.
drive vehicle to normal operating temp to eliminate air lock in HEU.
V8 cruiser may have low flow through the heater circuit at idle.
Someone mentioned maybe this model does not have a manual temp tap on the dash, may have to tee the heater hoses off into the HEU and turn the vehicle heater temp to cold so to get the water to flow only through the HEU.
You may have to increase the engine revs to increase the flow. but is difficult because id doesnt have a hand throttle.. Michael
