Hey Guys,
After some info, I will be travelling down the NSW South Coast (Ulladulla) from the NSW Central Coast.
We will be towing a caravan, is the Princes Hwy an easy drive with caravan behind the Jackaroo, or would we be better going down the Hume then cutting across?

If you have no choice on when you can travel, and have to travel the night before xmas then expect HUGE delays around Albion Park Rail (Sth of W/gong) can last for hours sometimes. That should be the only concern you have on the Princess Hwy unless you come across one of the many accidents that occur on this stretch every xmas, please don't become one of the statistics and take care.
If you do have to travel just prior to xmas then I can understand why you want to know about the Hume alternative, it may well be less stressful to go this way, but I would try to time it so I could go the Princess Hwy if I were travelling in your shoes.

Safe and happy xmas.
Trevor.
