Storage queries on Toyota Hiace Campervan

HiI have just got a Toyota Hi ace Capervan 1983. I was thinking of ways of additional storage. Ihave bull bars on the front and was thinking of a round 150 mm plastic tube with end caps mounted behind the bull bar( Obviously not in the headlights way) Any suggestions ?
Also on the top of the campervan, above the drivers cab there is a space about 2' in width by the vehicles cab width, about 7 ' on the roof. Any suggestions as to how to provide storage up there.
Finally, I have 3 drawers which come open when driving. Anys suggestions as to securing them or getting catches to prevent this occurring?

I would go to caravan or similar accessory store and see what they have.
Or see if you have a motor home club around your area go to a meeting and see what every one else has done.
