Hi all
Apart from being a long time 4x4 owner, I am a small business owner wanting to advertise in Exploroz. We specialize in corrective maintenance issues (eg power loss, smoke, chronic over heating, etc), and would like
forum contributers to indicate what part of the site would be the most visible, or the most visited to some one who might be searching for solutions to engine deterioration type problems.
ExplorOz looks like the best 4x4
forum for me to try, and I would appreciate any helpful
forum feedback.
Thanks

The vertical ads on the right hand side of the
forum usually get my attention before anything else on the screen.

I agree with Scubaroo and kev.h - I log on to the
forum most days i can and right now i can see a box on the right saying "this space available for page sponsors. For more info click here".
Unless i am looking for something specific, i go no further

WHAT A great IDEA check the adds on the right hand side and take particular notice of FITCH it will solve ALL your mentioned problems. I am getting sick of telling the truth so I will bow out here and leave it to yourselves to find the truth which I have been telling you all for some time. I will now leave it for the users to awaken you all by for now.

Bill S,
What a stupid reply.
I have stayed quiet through your entire debate as I have an open mind to anything new or left field until it is proven untrue.
But your reponse here in this post is
well off topic (which was advertising), and it wasn't called for by any of the previous posts. It seems to me that you are not "bowing out" as mentioned in your post but instead are throwing a childish tantrum and running away because you have not been able to convince everyone who posts on this
forum to believe as you do in your product. If this is the case you might need to have someone else market the product for you because a quick reality check will remind you that this is to be expected and will probably never change.
You will only lose peoples respect with immature remarks. If the product works, give people the figures to work with and then let it speak for itself. We Aussie's are a cautious bunch when we approach new things, but we listen to each other. So if it works, word of mouth will be enough to sell the product. But in the meantime, be patient and don't do further harm to your cause.
Cheers,
Brett

Bill are you related to george bush and jonny howler- they use the same advertising principle - tell a lie often enough and it BECOMES the truth

I suggest the best options would be to contact David or Michelle (the Exploroz owners) and seek their advice. The other response was correct in that the sponsors/advertisers do get good exposure with the ad's on the right side of the screen.
Hope this helps.

Reckon Roachie is on the money..Re ExplorOz or magazine adverts, the right hand side is the "hot spot" and a simple picture is essencial (not cluttered and with good contrast) relavant to what you do.."Clickable" ads are of course,best..Change the adv on a regular basis or,at least, the picture and headline..Have a system in place to monitor results from day one..We used to use different colored coupons for each promotion..Highly effective in this case..A mate of
mine in full on legit mail order told me" a small adv gets a small responce, one double the size gets about four (not double) times the replies,a large adv gets huge responces and when costed per dollar, provided the material is written in a manner to create a desire to respond, immediately, yeilds the best "bang per buck" .. Pretend you are a potential client..Click all the way through up to ordering..If there are any, ever so slight, many of us will loose interest and "click off"..Have a good "About Us" description so folk get the idea the business is on the level..If it suits your trade, have specials, with a definate time limit..Best of luck anyway..RockyOne
