Hi, I was experiencing bad ride comfort in my diesel 94model landcruiser ute fitted with heavy leaf springs, problem is now solved by decreasing tyre pressure.

The only thing that is now bugging me is the rattle in my drivers side door.
It rattles in/out, does anybody know how i can adjust or fix this problem?

HI BRIAN, Pull your door trim off and check the mounting bolts holding your window regulator in and any other loose bolt whilst there, also the bolts holding your glass to the runner,Hope this helps you. Also check free play in your door hinge

Hi Brian I had a rough ride from my 75 and what an old bloke down the street told me to do was to spray the springs with a mixture of old engine oil and diesel and you will be surprised at the ride , hope this helps cheers roughneck

I have heard of that trick before, some people say that they use it on their springs to prevent rust.
I have also been told NOT to use old engine oil as it contains acids tat can corrode the steel further.
Cheap new engine oil mixed with WD40 might also do the trick.

I am getting the cruiser rustproofed next month anyway and i will see what happens, I am using a mob called 'Tropic Proof' here in Mackay.
The bloke is using the brand Valvoline.
