We are intending to cross the Simpson from Oodnadata to
Birdsville in July, in a 99 Jackaroo petrol V6. Has anyone else done it in a similar vehicle, if so could you give us an idea how much fuel you used. we wil travel on several tracks over 4 days. Thanks, happy trails.

Mike, can't help you with your fuel consumption on the Desert Trek - but look forward to seeing you at the
Birdsville Caravan Park - camps, cabins, expresso coffee, fabulous showers, laundry and water
views. You'll love the Desert. See you when you get here.

Mike,
Contact the Jackaroo Club. I know that the NSW club did a trip acroos the desert in 1999, with a mix of diesel & petrol vehicles. There are links to the website here at Exploroz. Good luck, and enjoy the Jackaroo!
