We're headed off on the relli run down to Melb in a week and are planning on staying at the Twin Bridges C'van Pk in Dandenong.
We're staying in our camper trailer, myself, wife and 4 and 5 yo kids. After something kid friendly where the sites aren't on top of each other. This one sounds O.K. from the one review I could find, and my Father inlaw says its not bad.
Has anyone stayed there and if so what did you think?
Any other alternatives on the eastern side of Melb people can recommend in case this one is full or doesn't suit?
Thanks, Chris.

How long are you staying?

Most parks in suburbia are sites on top of each other, its stinks.
Not sure on this one, its probably closer to GOB than me maybe he knows.

Staying about 3 weeks.
Have family in Noble park, Kilsyth, Reservoir and Northcote. Probably hangin out in Noble park a fair bit and have a look round country vic as well if poss.
If Twin Bridges is no good we'll go back to Crystal Brook in E Doncaster where we stayed last time, but it was abit on top of each other.

Chris.
If you would like to stay in a bush environment with power and water 20 minutes out of Dandenong you could stay on my land. Eric

Thanks very much for your offer Eric, you are very generous, but I reckon your bush environment wouldn't be too peaceful anymore with my kids doing their dinosaur impersonations. Still toilet training too so will need to go to the dunny in the middle of the night and the kids as well sometimes.

A bit away from Noble Park (probably 45 minutes) but Badger Creek Caravan Park at Healesville is sort of bush camping but just out of town. Stream runs through it, natural bush surrounds and all caravan park conveniences.
20 minutes from Kilsyth, 60 minutes from CBD, nice drive either through the Dandenongs or via freeway to Dandy area.

I stayed at Badger Creek , a few weeks back.

Nice spot , nice people. Would recommend for sure.

We had our large CT on a powered site with no real dramas. We got ABSOLUTELY drowned , but , thats not the CVan parks fault.

We based ourselves there , and did the Dandenongs Stuff, (Puffing Billy etc) , and went into the City for the Day.

Close enough to base yourself for touring that area I believe.
