Well I am definitely smiling after scoring a bargain on Friday. I was browsing the website of the Quokka (free ads paper from WA) and found an ad for 3 rola roof bars for Challenger at $75. After checking the retail price was $450 on the rola website I called and made sure that they were actually compatible with my Challenger model and also found out that the seller lived only 1km down the road. The bars are in perfect condition from what I can tell so I scored a real bargain and did not have to travel too far it.
I am still smiling.
Better stop before my jaws get too sore :-)
SLY.

It depends how much people are willing to pay for them. I was more than happy to pay $25 per bar instead of $150, but depending on how old they are and their condition you could be able to sell them for more than that.
Good luck,

Sly. (still smiling by the way).

I get my roof racks from Roof Carrier Systems in Melbourne.

If you buy them there and you change vehicles they give you 50% trade in on your upgrade.

One set when I changed them (Atera) they asked if I cared if parts were new or used. I said I didn't.

They put wider bars on, different clamps and reused the same turrets but reset the angle.

All up changeover cost was $20 and they added a wind deflector that I hadn't had before! I nearly fell of my chair.

I too smiled for days. Can't say I'll ever beat that one again.
