Hi all, the past 5 years my wife, 4 kids, 2 horses, motorbikes, caravan, F100, Ford Maverick and almost half the house have joined us on our
camping trip to SheepYard flat. For the past two years we have driven around Sheepyard flat for up to 2hours trying to find a
camp spot. We love the lifestyle, but have found its way too populated now and would love some suggestions for another spot around the district that is not so overpopulated.
We are not bothered about
toilets, but we would like a bushy setting, and a river for the kids to swim in.
Could anyone suggest where our next
camping area could be?
We live in West
Melbourne, and don't want to travel more than 3 hours.
We have many maps, but we would like some suggestions please.

Pete,
Sorry can't help you with a
camping spot but you (or SWMBO) must be organizational geniuses to sort that lot out for a
camping trip ... LOL

There are a lot of rivers in them there hills, they all have campsites. If you drive past sheepyard there are about 10 campsites up to 8 mile
creek then more up near
bindaree hut. delatite, jamieson,
goulburn and big river all have sites i think. there is also south of the range on the thompson and mitchel rivers and many others within 3 hours, none of this even mentions the
otways.
