Hi all, the past 5 years my wife, 4 kids, 2 horses, motorbikes, caravan, F100, Ford Maverick and almost half the house have joined us on our camping trip to SheepYard flat. For the past two years we have driven around Sheepyard flat for up to 2hours trying to find a camp spot. We love the lifestyle, but have found its way too populated now and would love some suggestions for another spot around the district that is not so overpopulated.
We are not bothered about toilets, but we would like a bushy setting, and a river for the kids to swim in.
Could anyone suggest where our next camping area could be?
We live in West Melbourne, and don't want to travel more than 3 hours.
We have many maps, but we would like some suggestions please.

When are you thinking about going?

in the Pyrenees over your area? Plenty of spots there.

also Mitchells Flat over the hill from sheepyard, and a few klms LOL... past the slate mine, but wouldnt be towing a dogfood float over there.

Pineapple Flat on the King River.
Pykes Flat, further up stream from Sheepyard. (Come in off Circut Road)
Turn left as you get to the river up stream from Binderee Hut.(Entry as above)
Jamerson River at Wrens Flat.

To the south near Licola.

Bikes are always the worry when you are camped near other people.
