Finally got a break from huge bills It strted when i went to MINESITE TECHNOLAGIES Kalgoorlie to get a power and ariel wire for a barrett HF. The guy had just been given a Barrett 250 same as mine except without cables so he used mine to test and build his own as well as photocopy the instruction manuel. so he gave me what I was missing.
i went back to get the leading end of the ariel soldered and another guy replaced both ariel conectors (he didnt like them) and tested my uhf and found it had a faulty conecter and replaced it (works like it should now) I was also given a roo bar ariel mount
Aditionally i had a leaking and busted Bung plug replaced for free by ROSSIDES RADIATORS Kalgoorlie despite it being 11.5 months since they put the radiator in (I suspect the damage was done by a stray stick)

Davoe, isn't it nice to see that there are still some good people in the trades.

Dave, its what used to be called customer service. Most of us need to make a $, but if you look after your customers then you'll end up making more $, a fact that appears to have been lost in the new "economic rationalism".

One example. I emailed a company and asked a silly question because I'd read their ad wrongly. My fault. But did they reply to me ? Nix. Would I deal with them ? Nix.
I spend a lot of time answering "silly" questions. If someone spends the time to ask then its only polite to answer them, doesnt take much.

There are more nice people out there than rotten ones, an observation that still astounds me. Pass it on , do something nice for someone. You have no idea what effect just smiling and saying hello to a stranger can do for their day :)

I know exactly what you mean.

I suspect that the lid on my waeco is not 100% because it frosts up inside after 3 or 4 days use. I emailed waeco direct from their website with the enquiery. Did I get a response? NO !!!!!

There was a story in the paper recently of a gentleman who went to buy a car, found one that he liked and paid a deposit. Family circumstances changed and he was unable to go through with the purchase. After some time he was contacted by the company about his holding deposit. He replied that he thought it would be kept by the company as he didn't complete the purchase.
The company exployee replied that they weren't in the business of fleecing money from customers, and sent him a cheque.
If only other companies would realise that you can't buy service, or advertising like that, for any amount of money.

There are plenty of genuine car dealers like that, you just don't hear about them.
Haven't you heard? Bad news travels fast!
