Hi again, I am looking for mesh guard for gas mantle lamp instead of glass, coleman or primus, all the same. There is some info in Archives but really looking for a retail outlet to purchase. Many thanks, Michael

Michael, its an interesting question, but I wonder why you ask it.
Is it because you are having a broken glass problem, or some other reason?
My family came out to ozz. in 1949 (bringing me and my sister with them) My old man was a coal miner and when we went on to a farm in 1950 without electricity but with pressure kero lamps he insisted thet the glass was dangerous, and quickly replaced them with a metal (flyscreen?) gauze.
The light immediately went from reasonable to bl..dy pathetic, my sister and me trying to do our homework by the light of a "miners lamp"
Please tell us your reason, and I will tell you how he did it!
cheers the kesh

Hi Guys,
I use one of the s/s mesh ones and it's actually brighter than the broken frosted glass that came out of it.
Cheers, ToNy!
