I am wodering if there is a specialist vehicle transport business that would Freight our LandRover Discovery and
Kimberley Kamper form
Melbourne to
Darwin next August. We want to do a
Kimberley trip and can't afford the extra weeks travel it would take to get to
Halls Creek. We plan to drive back. All the freight companies contacted thus far 'wont take spares or presonal belongings in the car, which kinda defeats the purpose!

Hi Patrick
Had a simular problem in Jan this year getting my cruiser from
Perth to
Kununurra. Used Autotrans but was told they would only accept a small amount of personal luggage in the vehicle for transport.
Just lobbed at the depot with car full of the cooks retail therapy, neatly packed and secured, paid the man and up the car came. I think the problem stems somewhere around insurance of the goods inside the vehicles. Perhaps if you can prove/show some sort of your own cover for that aspect you may have more luck.
Goodluck anyway,
Cheers
Wal

I would be interested in what it would cost to freight your vehicle over that distance.
