Hi brd. I've never taken much notice with mine but I suspect as they have lower gearing than a Discovery, probably around 2200rpm.
Why?

From recollection, about 2700 on the tacho. I'll check tomorrow on the freeway and confirm. The final drive ratio is lower than the Disco, so higher revs are to be expected.

4500 governed max ... but I don't think I want to go there.. ;-)

try this link:
http://www.osella.com.au/gear-ratios.htm

measure your wheel diameter and your can do cals for each gear, provided you know the ratios.
