Has anyone travelled this area recently? Comming across from Ularu to the Pilbara, beleive Rudall River has some fantastic scenery.

Hi Elaine,
I was in the Rudall NP in August , but we came in from Telfer and went out to the West . It certainly is beautiful scenery but not a lot of aboriginal art that I could find .
Great camping spots on the pools at Rudall River .
Cheers ,
Willie .

Hi Elaine

We went out along the Gary Junction, CSR, Talawana Track, Rudall River NP in April this year.

We picked the wrong time as it was still very hot, dry and dusty with a zillion flies to meet one at every camp.

Rudall River was OK but I didn't think that it was spectacular. The walk to Desert Queen baths was OK as well.

It rained in May and then the whole scenery must have changed.

Everyone sees something different in the landscape and whereas I might see features as ordinary, you might find joy in it.

Go to my website listed below and click on 4x4 and then at the bottom of the page, The Big Trip. I have a diary there of our sojourn through WA this year

Happy travels

I wouldn't recommend visiting that area at this time of year as the temperatures can be very hot & unless you are well prepared anything unlikely can happen. Best times are June - September when temperatures are somewhat cooler. Cheers.
