I'm looking for an offroad camper trailer which is capable of mounting a single trailbike. I have seen the
Kimberley version but was told that the ramp arrangement (which is for a quad or two bikes) can't be alternated between the ramp and the storage box depending in what kind of trip I'm planning to do. I guess the bike will be going away 50% of the time so the
Kimberley arrangement is a waste of drawbar room when it's not required. Does anyone know of a good heavyduty trailer where the drawbar is capable of handling an extra 130kgs minus the weight of the jerrycan holders and storage box removed for the subsequent trip? Thanks in advance.

Cub offroad camper, in fact they said you could put 2 on the roof of a Cub, 250kg is the limit on the roof.
The only draw back is you have to take them off everytime you
camp.

Thanks Baz. I'm not too sure how I'd go about getting an enduro bike onto the roof but I suppose it's possible. I was hoping a trailer somewhere might be able to mount it on the drawbar or on the rear somehow which would also keep it a bit lower and out of harms way a bit.

Yeah i tried this too as i have 3 bikes, AllTerrain in Seven Hills will do one bike on the drawbar but he is expensive and it has to be mounted on a slight angle so the bike doesn't stick out the sides of the trailer as per RTA regs, you could try Clarkes Country Campers, (formally Redback campers) Ray who owns the company is a nice bloke and will tell you yes or no, he was going to do a bike rack for us but i changed my mind so give him a call, he's in Medowie near Raymond Terrace, 3 bikes on our camper would of been a bit to much, adding another 350kg making it about 1tonne empty.

I forgot, there is a guy from the campertrailers yahoo group who made a bike camper, the bikes where in the trailer with the tent section above on a frame, looked pretty good.
The only problem i see with this is the smell of petrol fumes if you leave the petrol on accidently or it leaks onto the floor of the trailer.

I just picked up a copy of Camper Trailer magazine so I'm now armed with dozens of phone numbers to start pestering people :) I did ring All Terrain and I will go over and have a look at their gear. Thanks for your reply.

Shane,
If you're in W.A., I have an old Cub Camper that has been beefed up for 4WD work. I've used it for many years for prospecting. I fitted a another axle under it about 4 years ago - so it's now tandem - and fitted a trail bike carrier on the front of it. I used the trail bike to get around the bush rather than use the Nissan, and I used it for pegging mining leases.
It's old, but it's sound, it'll can carry a trail bike without breaking the "A" frame. It needs a bit of a tidy up, but last time I looked the canvas was good, there's a huge annexe, plus an awning both of which zip onto the camper canvas. Has an 80 litre
water tank. AND best of all - it's for sale, CHEAP.
If you're a bit handy, you could do a lot with it.
I don't use it anymore as I'm getting older (and wiser) and now use new Supreme Getaway Offroader.
I'll even throw in a 4 burner
camping stove!!
It ain't fancy but it's sound 'n cheap.
You can email me at: leslowe@iinet.net.au
Bargain,
Bilbo
