I have a Projecta portable battery which I use for lighting. I've lost the instruction book and can't remember the procedure for 12v charging. When I connect the unit to the 12v outlet do I have the unit on or off? the green light on the unit glows either way. I'd be grateful if anyone can help!

AFAIK the switch is only for turning on the jumper leads, so it's best to be off except when you are jump starting.

Thanks Nigel but the switch on mine controls the cigarette lighter sockets only. The charging lead also plugs into them and the unit reacts the same way whether it's on or off ie the green "on" light shines. The jump leads work regardless of the switch position - the current required for jumping would be far too great for a small switch I think.
